Combining language training with
entrepreneurial learning in an online module
The EntreSTEAM project furnishes teachers with materials and tools to support students’
internationalisation at home
international teamwork skills
English communication skills
problem-forming and -solving skills
design thinking & entrepreneurial mindsets
EntreSTEAM (2020-2022), a project funded by Erasmus+ KA203 Strategic Partnerships, aims to help European Higher Education Institutes improve working-life connections in their foreign language and communication courses.
The project offers an online module combining language learning with entrepreneurially-minded, problem-based learning, which involves students working in transnational teams to solve current challenges through design-thinking methods.
Our target audience is language teachers and educators across Europe, and their students.
The online module offers you materials, resources, and guidelines
Trying out new kinds of teaching methods can feel difficult if you don’t know where to start. EntreSTEAM offers a ready-made resource package of materials and guidelines to combine self-directed team learning, language learning and entrepreneurship education. You choose how to use the materials - either by integrating the module into your course as it is or by using it as an inspiration for creating your own innovative language course.
Teachers as co-creators
EntreSTEAM facilitated a series of Train the Trainers workshops, in which teachers were given guidance on how to facilitate the module. At the same time, the project benefited greatly from feedback and development ideas gathered from teachers as well as participating students. Indeed, the final result would not look the same without these teachers’ contributions!
A pool of like-minded educators
EntreSTEAM provides teachers with opportunities to network with other like-minded teachers who are looking to join forces and offer the module to students.
